Petro Min Engineers have partnered with Downer EDI Engineering for the Onslow DER Power Station and Town Zone Substation. The Project scope is to provide the engineering and detailed design across all disciplines for the Power Station and Town Zone Substation.
The Power Station and Zone Substation Works include the engineering, design, procurement and construction of an 8MW (nominal installed capacity) Power Station, with the ability for future expansion.
The power station includes Natural gas fuelled engines, diesel engines and a Battery Energy Storage System. Power is generated at 11kV and transmitted from the Power Station to the Town Zone Substation at 33kV.
In addition, PME will also design and implement balance of plant and associated facilities, cabling specifications and final connections to a newly installed Transmission Line.
Petro Min Engineers will be involved in the final commissioning and hand over of the power station to Horizon Power.
