Petro Min Engineers are working with Rob Coltrona from Carbon Reduction Ventures for the installation of several Capstone C65 micro turbines and additional solar generation capacity at two schools in Western Australia.
These projects will allow the connection of the solar systems and micro turbines to the Western Power South West Interconnected System with a zero export power management system.
The waste heat from the micro turbines will be utilised to heat the water of the large Olympic sized swimming pools at both schools.
The generation of power and waste heat recovery enables these two schools to reduce both their power consumption costs, their gas consumption costs while providing increased comfort for the swimming pool users.
