PME were contacted by BHPBIO to upgrade and commission the communication systems on their existing dewatering trailers and pump stations.
BHPBIO Information Systems installed new radios to replace old communication equipment that was no longer operational due to licencing restrictions.
PME then designed, installed and commissioned a new PLC, GPS and electrical protection devices into the existing panels to control the pumps and other ancillary devices remotely via the radios. The new telemetry system also enables PLC/SCADA programmers to download the latest program to the PLC remotely.
