Wood Waste To Energy – Power Plant Design

PME have been awarded the design of the power generation and grid connection facilities for the Ansac “Wood Waste To Energy” power generation and grid connection facilities. The plant is located at the EMRC recycling facility in Hazelmere, Western Australia and will convert waste products into a synthetic gas through pyrolysis (Heating in absence of oxygen)

PME will design the power generation controls, Medium Voltage systems, protection and grid inter-tie requirements for the 3 MW facility.

The specification and selection of electrical equipment, installation work scope and detailed design drawings for the power generation works is to be performed by PME.

Power is generated at 415 Volts and then stepped up to 22,000 Volts for connection to the states South West Interconnected System.
