PME have been awarded the engineering and design for a technology upgrade for the EMR underground mining operations crushing and loading station in their Scuddles mine.
This work includes new control panels, upgrade of the PLC and HMI controls within an underground crusher, loading station and rock breaker control systems. A new ABB PLC and HMI will interface with the existing ABB PLC in the winder control system.
There is also an upgrade to the CCTV system for remote monitoring of the system and to aid in fault diagnosis.
This system upgrade will allow local and automated operation, with the ability to operate the Winder Control System from the surface.
