PME have been awarded the engineering and design for the supply and installation of power factor correction at the Hanking Gold Marvel Loch mine near Southern Cross.
This power factor correction will achieve compliance with the Western Power Technical Rules and also save the owner’s penalty charges for poor power factor and a reduction in electrical losses through their 33kV system.
Our experience with the engineering and design of power factor correction includes two installations at the Sunrise Dam gold mine one at 11kV and one at 415V, Tronox at Kwinana at 22kV and Port Hedland Ports as well as numerous installations in commercial premises in the Perth metropolitan area.
