PME was contracted to provide the design of two substations connecting utility scale solar farms in the Goldfields region in Western Australia.
One of the substation connects to a new 33kV powerline and includes the electrical protection, SCADA interface, remote controls and monitoring design.
The second substation connects via a 33kV to 66kV transformer and ties into an existing 66kV powerline, which also includes the design of the optical fibre, protection systems , SCADA and remote controls and monitoring.
In addition, the works include the earth grid design , power line and substation designs at both locations.
