Petro Min Engineers provided the engineering, design and commissioning of a 5.75 MVAr power factor correction unit at EMR’s Golden Grove Operations Main Substation.
The power factor correction is sized to meet the Western Power Technical Rules requirements for transmission system loads.
The packaged power factor correction was manufactured by ABB – Hitachi.
