In conjunction with Resources WA we have provided the detailed design and engineering for a 2MWatt solar farm which connects via a 2.5 MVA substations into the mine sites 11kV network.
The sites uses a Cambridge tracking system and a string inverters to provide power into a skid mounted 2.5 MVA step up substation.
Part of the scope of works included power flow and fault level studies and reports within the mines sites electrical system.
A power quality study for voltage and current harmonics with input from the mines electrical system and the solar farm to investigate the requirements for harmonic filtering or reactors has also been performed.
