In conjunction with John Cook Engineering Associates, PME have performed detailed site audits and review of documentation and maintenance procedures for numerous power stations in remote communities.
All of these stations are powered by diesel generators and are located in the Mid West, Pilbara and Kimberley regions of Western Australia.
The major part of the works was to investigate the capability of these site to easily accept the addition of renewable energy power generation sources and battery energy storage devices.
The audit also considered the life extension requirements and capabilities for some of the older stations.
